It is cold as hell, because I have always thought of hell as a cold place.
It is colder than a witch's tit. (an old saying of my dad's)
It is, and has been, so cold this month.
I am very grateful for a furnace, blankets, socks and coats, also a working car
and the promise of warmth in a couple of months!
It's just winter, being winter.
Now excuse me, while I go turn up the heat!

We always say "colder than a witch's tit" too. I don't know where we got it. Do you really think a witch would have cold tits for some reason? Whatever, I understand it's cold. I have discovered the joy of flannel sheets.. finally I get into bed and not shiver. What I really want tho is SPRING.
I soooo feel for you all, it is a balmy 28celsius at present,not bad at all.
Keep warm my friends, Spring is just around the corner and then it will by my turn to complain about the cold.
it is FRIGID! and i hate wearing my coat- then you have to haul it around when you get inside the store
